What documents are needed to file taxes?

Unexpired drivers license or state ID. Social Security card or ITIN number

Prior two years of filed returns are also needed for new clients

If filing jointly, you’ll need spouse’s identification information as well

Birth certificates, social security cards or tax ID numbers, income of dependents and other adults in your home, form 8332 if applicable
